All meetings are held on Wednesdays at 10.30am in Potten End Village Hall.
Coffee is served 10.00 - 10.20am.

Visitors and Associate Members should make prior application to the Secretary.

John Constable and the English Landscape
A brilliant painter of the English landscape, innovative in technique, a master of sky studies and the working nature of his local landscape - a very English start to our journey.

Milord Abroad - the British on the Grand Tour in the 18th century
We follow the young aristocrats on their travels through Europe and finally return home to see how the tour influenced both the exterior and interior of British town and country houses

Rescuing Zeugma from the floodwaters of the Euphrates
An archaeological drama on the banks of the Euphrates in Turkey, close to the border with Syria, tells of the rescue of a Roman city with wall paintings and mosaics finer than those of Pompeii.

Charles Darwin and the Voyage of HMS Beagle
Charles Darwin and Captain Robert FitzRoy, the commander of HMS Beagle, were accompanied on their celebrated voyage of 1831-36 by two artists paid to paint the people and places encountered.
These images underpin the series of seafaring stories.
